palinchron II.I explores the fluid ontology of photographic images. Through repetition, inversion, and framing (as central conceptual figures), the motifs detach from the rigid, isolated image and evolve into a dynamic form sustained by reproduction and relation. These fluid image-generations move beyond their one-dimensional frame by both showing something and simultaneously pointing to their own (primordial) medial and material process of emergence.
The neologism »palinchron« here designates a non-linear state in which forward and backward movements unfold simultaneously—like a photographic negative that, as an incision in the image-making process, reveals the tension between presence and absence.
